A Testimony
I could fill all the pages of a book with the amount of things that have came from following and learning from Cory G. I’ve been following him on social media since 2014, but my journey didn’t begin until 2015 when I began #SquatEveryday. I have not missed a single day yet and am now one month away from hitting the two year milestone (in which I have added exactly 200lbs to my squat in 2 years). When I started squatting every day my back squat was 265lbs with piss poor ugly form. My current best is a pretty smooth 465. In the past 12 months I have increased my deadlift 95lbs from 365 to 460.
I signed up for CoryGFitness.com the day it went live and have been following Get Stacked paired with Squat Life ever since. That programming along with daily core work, gpp and lunges have not only made me the strongest I’ve ever been, but the most jacked as well. I competed in 3 powerlifting meets this year placing 1st in the 148 class, and 2nd & 3rd in the 165 class. That’s right, with this programming mixed with #AnabolicFasting I was able to drop from 166lbs to 146lbs to compete in my first event, which I won.
My mindset in the gym completely changed, but my mindset out of the gym was a complete reboot. Prior to 2016 I hadn’t read a single book since graduating college 5 years ago. This year alone I read 20 different books and listened to 12 different audio books. The knowledge I’ve acquired from self-learning has helped me leaps and bounds above anything I ever learned in school. This year I earned my personal training certification and began in-home personal training. I’ll soon have my own L.L.C. up and running with multiple future business ventures of my own in the works. Although I dreamed of a certain life for myself for years, I never applied any actions to those dreams until I met CG.
In 2016 I’ve been as shredded as 146, squatted as much as 465, started my own business, and traveled to the iconic Muscle Beach Gym in Venice, California. All while working a full-time job as an MRI technologist.
We are all truly capable of anything. You’ve just got to be willing to put in the work.
Thank you, G, for leading by example.
Much love,
Cory Carpenter
